It's Midterms!

Well it is midterm week which means I am half way done with the semester!  Time is flying, it seems like just yesterday I was moving in!  It is been a lot of fun and there has been a lot of change that came with moving out.  Some of the highlights of the past few months have been I-night, getting A's on almost all my tests (woohoo go me!), seeing my family/going home (yes this is a highlight because I miss my house and family so much!), and meeting a lot of new people.
Being moved out has made me appreciate everything that my mom does so much!  I never understood what it took to keep the house so clean, and I have discovered that I have adapted a lot of her habits.  Growing up she always nailed us about doing our own dishes after we use them and to always clean up after ourselves.  Since being up here I have learned that not everyone was raised that way, and it has been hard.  I have had to get mad at my roommates a few times because our dishes pile up and it grosses me out.  I never thought I would say this, but thank you mom for teaching my how to keep a clean kitchen and house!  THANK YOU MOM!!!
I have also been missing my big bed and own bedroom at home.  Don't get me wrong, I love having roommates and Sydney is the best!  But I miss having my own personal space that I can go when I want to be by myself.
I have also come to appreciate all of the relationships that I have made back home.  I didn't understand how much of a blessing those were to me until I came up here.  All of my friends from back home were always there for me whenever I needed anything and I always had people to go to.  Up here I haven't met a ton of people and I haven't made too many relationships like the ones I have at home.  So I am very grateful for everyone that I have become friends with in Logan!
So thats how my semester is going so far!  It has been fun, but I feel like I am just doing homework all day everyday.  I decided that I am in need of a vacation so if anyone wants to go to Disneyland with me, give me a call!  (jk I don't have time for that, I wish I did!)  Now time for pictures!

I know this looks gross, but I was so proud of myself for actually cooking last Sunday!  I made myself Stroganoff with green beans and a spinach salad.  I have come to like a lot of foods that I didn't at home, like spinach and tomatoes.  I end up having spinach almost every night for dinner.
With it being Halloween we had a ward Halloween party.  Me, Bree, and Amanda dressed up like 80's girls.

I love all of these girls so much!  They are my next door neighbors and we have all come to be pretty good friends!

We dressed up for a Halloween dance party, my costume was kind of a fail though.  I couldn't figure out what to be, so we decided to go for Pipy Longstockings, but that didn't turn out, so I ended up just being a school girl.  Abby was going for being a Deer.  We are really good at making costumes! haha

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!

I love to see my family

These past two weekends have been so much fun because I have seen my family!  Last weekend was my little brother Jacks baptism.  It was so nice to go back and be able to catch up with all of my old friends and sleep in a big bed again! (I am really missing my big bed haha)

Being able to see this girl made my weekend so much better!  I have missed everyone from back home so much! I also got to see Kyleigh, and everyone that I used to work with.  I went into Firehouse twice and saw everyone I used to work with.  I never thought I would say this, but I actually miss it there.  I have been craving the food a lot, so it tasted really good!

Becky and Jay's family came down for the baptism.  I am so grateful that they live so close and that I get to see them so often!

This pictures doesn't really have anything to do with this post, but the sunset was too pretty not to post this picture!

This weekend my family and the Seedalls went up to the cabin for our annual weekend for cutting wood.  I went up on Thursday night for a few hours and had dinner.  Friday I went to class, then my dad picked me up and we headed back up!  I don't know why, but cutting wood is so much fun to me!  We haul our trailers and all the kids out into the forest and just have a good time.  It is so much fun to be around all of my cousins, it is a good bonding time.  We have made so many memories cutting wood!

Yes, I did use an axe and split a log.  It only took about 20 tries, but I can now say that I have split wood :)

We are the best wood cutters in the world, if anyone ever needs some wood give us a call!

My First Month of College!

I moved up on September 13, and I feel like I have been constantly running every since then!  I have had a blast so far!  These are just a few of the things that I have been up to.

The first weekend I was there there was a party at the school called I-night.  There was everything and anything there!  We went roller skating, played volleyball, went to a dance, and listened to people sing karaoke.

This a Abby.  We went to high school together and we were actually double partners in tennis the one year I played.  I am so glad she is up here!  We have become really good friends and it is nice to have someone up here that you can talk about things back home with.

This was a part of I-night.  Sydney and I thought this looked fun, so we went at it!  Sadly I lost.  She won three rounds in a row, it is just because she had a height advantage though.

The temple is just up the street from my apartment so I love going on walks/drives up there.  It is such a pretty temple and I am so blessed to be able to live so close to it.  Everyday when you are walking on campus you can always see the temple.  This is one of my favorite parts of the campus.

Some of my roommates and next door neighbors.

I went on a date to the Kris Allen concert, and it was so much fun!  It was such a good concert, and I even got to "meet" him after (aka have in sign something and quickly smile for a pic, same thing though right?)

It snowed the first week of October.  Me and Abby were a little excited about it so we took pictures instead of studying.

We had to represent our hometown!  We wore our USU attire to watch the BYU vs USU football game and we got some dirty looks...

Allison (my cousin) came up and visited me for a weekend!  It was so much fun to have her up here with me, and I can't wait until she comes to school here next year!

Allison, me, Breeanna, and Shelby

Abby and I went on a little walk and explored the streets of Rexburg.  It is a pretty cute town with lots of street art!

It has been such a fun month!  I am studying a lot, but it is paying off.  When I get the chance to have a social life, it is so much fun!  I can't wait to see what the next few months bring!

My Roommates

This month has been a lot of fun!  It was a lot of change at once, but I am really enjoying it.   I am living with 5 other girls, and I love them all.

These are my roommates (from left to right) Amanda, Shelby, Breeanna, Brindizi, me, and Sydney.

The first picture we ever took as roommates.

This is Sydney, she is my room-rommate and I love her to death!  She is super tall (as you can see in the previous pictures), she is 6'2" and basically tower over me.

This is Breeanna.  She is from Idaho Falls and she is awesome!  One night I decided I wanted to scare Sydney so I hid in the cupboard.  Sadly it didn't work, but hey it's a good memory!

This is Amanda.  I love her, she is a party!  One night we were taking "family pictures" so we all put on matching plaid shirts and pulled out the glitter headbands :)

 Breeanna, me, and Amanda

I couldn't find any good pictures of me with Shelby and Brindizi, but they are awesome as well!  Shelby is a super good cook and makes us food all the time!  Brindizi is an amazing singer and we always make her play her guitar and sing for us! (she is going to be famous, so watch for her!)

I love all of my roommates so much and I got so lucky to be able to have them as my roommates!  We have made so many memories already and I can't wait for the next 3 months with them!

Hey Blog World!

So since I am now in college, I figure I should start a blog so my family and any one else who cares can see what I am up to.  I am new to this whole thing, but I will try to post as much as I can!
